It's been two years. To be completely honest, chapter 1 is almost incomplete without chapter 2. That's what took so long. That and bouts of depression, moves, job hops, and more. Very fun stuff.
For fun, let me tell y'all a couple stories.
I found out I lived 3 minutes away from a horserace betting spot. Bewildered that something like that is out and about, legal and hidden under my nose for the past decade was hilarious.
I bet on a horse. Buck Pie. $4 at 30:1 odds and walked out with a clean $120.
Don't use polymarket, fuck kalshi, go bet on a horse like our ancestors did. I do not condone gambling. Do not get a gambling addiction.
Want another story?
I once went to the Togashi family paper store in the Yamagata Prefecture on a trip to Japan a few years back. There I met our favorite author's brother, Hideaki. I joked around with him for a bit, fumbling around with google translate and ultimately gave him a early draft of the Tonpa story. Getting a good giggle out of him, I asked about Yoshihiro's health. All he had to say is, "he's not the type to die so easily, so don't worry." I bought one of my favorite artbooks there, and he gave me a free pin and I made off on my way back home.
Now the Yamagata prefecure had more mosquitos than I had seen anywhere else in the country. I was getting bit left and right as I tried to explore a nearby shrine in a local park.
I later check my phone and the first ad I see is about the Japanese Encephalitis Virus. Spread by mosquitos.
Anyways, that was storytime with Jayce. Let me know if you enjoy these and I'll give you some more soon.

Also shoutout to any of the HunterxHunter cosplayers I got to meet at AnimeNYC. Y'all were the best <3
